The reason single-boiler machines make you wait is that one boiler cannot be at two temperatures. A heat exchanger solves that, and normally arrives in a much bigger cabinet. The Lite keeps the footprint down.

How it works

Steam boiler water surrounds a pipe carrying fresh brew water, so both are ready at once — pull the shot and steam the milk without pausing. Inside the group sits a 200W heating element under PID regulation, actively lifting the water temperature as it leaves the exchanger, which is what stops the first shot after a long idle from running cool. Water comes from a reservoir and a vibration pump supplies brew pressure.

Who it suits

A good fit if milk drinks are your default, you want them without waiting between brew and steam, and counter space is finite.

Consider another machine if you drink espresso straight and never steam — you would be paying for a capability you do not use — or you want the two fully independent boilers of a dual-boiler machine.
