Most machines that let you shape pressure and flow ask you to wait twenty minutes for thermal stability first. This one is built the other way round: three heating elements instead of one large boiler, so it reaches temperature in under two minutes and holds it while you work.

How it works

The Boosted Boiler architecture splits heating across a boiler, a flow-through heater and a heater in the group itself, which is how the heat-up time comes down without giving up stability. A full-colour LCD and a navigation dial control pressure, temperature and flow through the shot, and profiles you build can be saved and repeated. The steam wand senses temperature and purges itself. The group head is a commercial-style 58mm with a brass core and a dispersion block.

Who it suits

A good fit if you want to profile shots but not schedule your morning around a warm-up, you will actually use saved profiles, and a screen and an app read as useful rather than as clutter.

Consider another machine if you want a machine with no software in it, or you would rather put the same money into a heavier traditional build with fewer features.
